Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Oryn (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
2. The service
Oryn is a personal briefing app that aggregates information from accounts you choose to connect (such as email, financial, health, and calendar data) and generates summaries. Oryn is an informational tool. It is not financial, medical, legal, or professional advice, and you should not rely on it as such.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract.
4. Your account
You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Sign-in is provided through Apple and email one-time codes.
5. Connected accounts
When you connect a third-party account (e.g. Gmail, Plaid, Apple Health, Calendar), you authorize Oryn to access that data as described in the Privacy Policy. Your use of those third-party services remains subject to their own terms. You can disconnect at any time.
6. Subscriptions and billing
Oryn offers a paid subscription (“Oryn Pro”). Purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; refund requests are handled by Apple.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including: reverse-engineering it, accessing it through unauthorized means, interfering with its operation, or using it to violate any law or any third party’s rights.
8. Intellectual property
Oryn and its content (excluding your data and third-party data) are owned by [Legal entity]. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You retain all rights to your own data.
9. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party providers and data sources. We’re not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or actions of those third parties, including the accuracy of summaries generated from third-party data.
10. AI-generated content
Briefings and suggested replies are generated by AI and may contain errors or omissions. Review AI output before relying on or acting on it, particularly for financial or health matters.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that summaries will be accurate or complete.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, [Legal entity] will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $50. [Confirm with counsel.]
13. Termination
You may stop using and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to comply with law.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms; we’ll revise the effective date and notify you of material changes. Continued use means you accept the changes.
15. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. [Add dispute-resolution / arbitration / class-action-waiver clause per counsel.]
